Homeland Security Recruitment Show
What was ABC thinking when they agreed to air a reality show about the Customs and Border Protection workers? Instead of a real picture of the gross misconduct and unfair practices these power maniacs utilize, we see crazy people who get excited about finding drugs, pull guns on kids, and think everyone is a terrorist. What ever happened to rights? Innocent until proven guilty? Aren’t we supposed to be a place people want to come? To see the pre-screened drivel (yes, the Department of Homeland Security [DHS] gets to pre-screen [edit] the show). Why don’t they show the workers who get arrested for their abuse of power? Instead they show people on the hunt for illegal aliens, a term that most consider biased, allegedly for their protection. Instead they get excited to find people and return them home. Where is the compassion for getting it wrong. Instead we get excitement that there is a name ina phone that matches a NO FLY name. Maybe they did not get the memo, a lot of people have the same name. I once got refused admission to a plane. Claimed I was on the NO FLY List. Maybe they should watch their own show and see that they wrongly pointed guns at an entire family. I am disgusted that this happens, and that ABC would air this. What is wrong with us?
