The US is truly scary! Schools are off limits…
In a move that can only be described as disgusting, I am again embarrassed to live in this country. Missouri has now implemented a lawthat requires schools to check their students status and prevent those that are out of status from enrolling in the schools. I understand that people don’t want the scholarships going to those that are out of status, and for a long time immigrants brought here as children have suffered, in fact its why the Dream Act was proposed, but now even those willing to pay are being denied the ability to attend school. Are we Fascist? Are we Xenophobes? They claim its to prevent people from taking advantage of the benefits reserved for those who paid into the state. These people pay the tuition, they do not take anything. They just want an education.
What happens if I lose my passport or birth certificate, will I be deported. I am truly afraid of this country.
